Mahoney's long-term supervisor, Paul Martino, said Monday that Mahoney kicked the bucket in Chicago after a concise hospitalization.
The reason for death was not instantly reported.
The British-conceived on-screen character featured as Martin Crane nearby his on-screen children Kelsey Grammer, who played the main Frasier, and David Hyde Pierce, who played Niles, in the sitcom for an incredible 11 seasons, from 1993 to 2004.
