Beloved Frasier star John Mahoney, who played classic sitcom's cantankerous father, dies at 77 in Chicago hospice facility
Mahoney's long-term supervisor, Paul Martino, said Monday that Mahoney kicked the bucket in Chicago after a concise hospitalization.
The reason for death was not instantly reported.
The British-conceived on-screen character featured as Martin Crane nearby his on-screen children Kelsey Grammer, who played the main Frasier, and David Hyde Pierce, who played Niles, in the sitcom for an incredible 11 seasons, from 1993 to 2004.
In 2000, he was granted a SAG Award for his work on the show, and was additionally assigned for two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes.
Other than featuring in the gigantically well known sitcom, John likewise had a lucrative movie vocation, with parts in creations including The American President, Say Anything… and Eight Men Out.
Most as of late, John had a repeating part in TV Land's Hot In Cleveland, where he showed up as Roy in six scenes in the vicinity of 2011 and 2014.

John was intensely private about his personal life, but is thought to have never married nor had children, despite previously claiming to have been in several relationships.
